Public Leadership for Gender Equality: A Framework and Capacity Development Approach for Gender Transformative Policy Change (Lancet, 2022)

This paper introduces PL4GE, a new leadership framework developed by the Global Center for Gender Equality to help public officials — starting in Ethiopia — move beyond simply increasing women's representation and actively drive gender-transformative change in policy and practice.

Readers will get an inside look at the six core leadership practices behind the framework and how it draws on public, transformative, and feminist leadership thinking to turn individual leaders into agents of institutional change.
